Graduacion

Yea for Graduations!

I felt like it was my prom all over again, only without the dancing.

My kids, class of 2019. Doesn't that sound just a little crazy?

Monumento La Paz

So, on Tuesday we had a half day at school, and Jen and I celebrated our half-freedom by having a picnic at this park in the middle of the city. Our friend Daniel did not have any classes either, so he came along with us as we took random pictures. There was definitely a progression to the pictures though, because the first few were of the view of the city, naturally. We then started taking pictures of ourselves, first normal ones and then "ugly" pictures where we tried to make ourselves look as terrible as possible. After watching us for quite a while and making small talk, the two police officers there guarding the area thought it was quite interesting that we would have a picnic there (Hondurans aren't big on picnics) and that we would purposefully take weird pictures. Small talk continued...."What's your name?"..."Do you like working here?"...."Can we take pictures with your guns?".....you know, normal stuff. Surprisingly, they said yes and so we have some pretty great pictures with AK-47's, but don't worry, they took the clips out before handing them over to us. After a few pictures with the weapons, we were able to get a free ride back down the mountain in the back of the police truck. Overall, a fun eventful day.

And how does this work exactly??
Learning how to correctly position myself from the pro's. I hope this lesson will never come in handy, unless I'm on Jeopardy and the question is "At what degree do you need to bend your knees when firing a baretta?" for $1000.

Trying to look scared in the back of the police truck. Not very convincing on my part, but Daniel looks pretty scared.
